PATRIARCH PIUS NJAGI (WAJUMA)

It is with deep sorrow that the Kamunyi Family accepts the passing of our Patriarch Pius Njagi (Wajuma), on 15th January, 2021, due to complications arising from cancer that he has battled with for many years.

He hails from Kibai village, Rung’eto Sub-location, Ngariama Location, Gichugu, Kirinyaga.

Husband of Cecily Muthoni Njagi. Father of Jacinta Kinyua (Runyenjes), Margaret Njue (Kiamugumo), Francis Kariuki (Kitale), Rosemary Karimi (Eldoret), Peter Mwaniki, Simon Gachoki (Ruiru), Ancent Wambura (Kiminini), Morris Muriithi (Thika) and Francis Kariuki Jr.

Son of the late Francis Kariuki (Juma) and the late Jacinta Gaturi Kamunyi.

Son-in-law of the late Muchira Kiura. & the late Margaret Wanjiku Kiura.

Brother of the late Njeru Kariuki, the late Tarasira Karimi, Alabina Wawira and Cecily Wambui.

Father-in-law of Paul Kinyua Gakiavi, Evans Njue, Anne Njeri, Raymond Kipkorir, Florida Mukwanjeru, Moses Sipeto, Hilda Nyokabi & Eunice Wanjiru.

Grandfather of Grace, Kenvie, Maureen, David, Eric, Tony K, Celia, Sylvia, Lynn, Claire,Yvonne, Fiona-Kris,Victor, Joy-Karen, Tony, Sharon, Sally, Brian, Sindy, Sandra, Jack, Raymond, Sicily, Jayden, Stephanie, Blessing & Shani-Rita.

Great-grandfather of Kephas, Lenny,Andrew, Brayden,Yvonne, Max,Ayden, Delia, Jayden, Miles, Ezlynn and Leo.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kibai village, Rung’eto sub-location, Ngariama location, Gichugu, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Gakwegoiri Funeral home, Embu, on Friday 22nd January, 2021, at 8.00am followed by a funeral service at his home in Kibai, Kirinyaga County.
