We regret to announce the sad demise of Mzee Paul Mobegi Momanyi (former Councillor) which occurred on August 6, 2020, at Nyanchwa Adventist Mission Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

Husband of Francisca Nyakerario Paul. Father of: Kennedy Raini (Nyaronge Primary School), James Mong’are (Principal, Kamreito Secondary School), Victor Obanyi (accountant, Kebirigo Tea Factory), Richard Nyamoi (businessman, Nairobi), Peter Geke (Businessman, Mombasa), Dr. Florence Oruta (Maasai Mara University), Sister Clemenciah Nyakambi (Loreto Sisters), Theresa Kasiah (DC’s office, Kericho), the late Catherine Kemunto, Josephine Nyanchama (businesslady,Kericho), Mary Onderi (Nairobi School). Brother of: H.E. John Obiero Nyagarama (Governor, Nyamira County), Samuel Mogaka, Elias Onyancha, Joseph Mayuya Magabi Mayon, and Zachariah Ong’era, Mary late Anne Nyanduko.

Nephew of: the late Ongera, the late Omboga, the late Nyambande, the late Maiko, the late Okumo, the late Keya, Ondomu, Auma among others.

Brother-in-law of : Orango Siringi, the late Henry, the late Omumbi, Lucy Makori, Momanyi Siringl, Naomi Nyagarama (First Lady, Nyamira County), Mary, Grace, the late Dorcas Sigara, the late Jerusha, Peris, Susan and Jane. Grandson of: Kwamboka Nyagarama, Obonyo. Korera of: Andrew Mabeya, Sebalia Machuka, John Osumo, Ocharo Nelson, Samuel Onderi, Peter Mogusu. Mzee Mobegi is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral procession leaves the Hema Hospital on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, for burial at his home in Iranda, Nyakemincha Village, Nyamira County, on the same day.
