PC JOSEPH MAINA MWANGI

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of PC Joseph Maina Mwangi of Kenya Police, Traffic Department Nairobi Area, which occurred on Monday the 16th of November 2020.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth Wanjiku Maina – Headteacher PCEA Ng’enda Pry School-Gatundu South, Former Headteacher Githunguri Township. Loving dad of Rachael Wambui and Antonina Wangui. Son of the late Simon Mwangi Kamau and the late Antonina Wangui Mwangi. Brother of Rose Wanjiru, Stella Wathanu, John Kinyua (Sub-Chief Kaharo Sub-Location), Jecinta Wanjugu, Teresia Wairimu, Zlpporah Waihuini, Samuel Kariuki, Mary Wacera, Daniel Kamau, Godfrey Kihia and the late Elder Juliet Wambura. Son-in-law to the late Paul Gichuki Kibunywa and Rachael Wambui Gichuki. Brother in law to Lucy Wacera, Josephine Njoki, Kibunywa Gichuki, Esther Wangari, Harrison Gikonyo and Martha Njeri. He is granddad to Nylah Cherop, among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his family home in Githunguri, Kiambu County and Kaharo, Thano, Mukweini and an additional venue at Magomano Hotel in Nairobi from 4pm.

The Cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary, Thika Road, on Tuesday 24/11/2020 at 9.00am for the funeral service, thereafter followed by the burial at 11.00am in Githunguri at his home near Githunguri Sub-County Offices.
