It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Peninnah Wangari Kirara of Kongo-ini village. Kiharu Sub-county, Murang’a County.
Daughter of the late Jacob Kimani and the late Milka Wambui.
Wife of the late Counsilor Hezron Kirara Karina. Co-wife to the late Tabitha Wangechi Kirara.
Sister to Wilson Kariuki, Samuel Kamau, the late Florence Wanjeri, the late David Macharia, the late Hannah Wanjiku and the late Thomas Mwangi.
Mother to Beatrice Wairimu (USA), Peter Kimani (Kim, Komarock Nairobi), Jeddy Wangui Kirara (Ireland), Catherine Njeri (Milestone Image Makers Nairobi), Patrick Muchai (USA) and the late James Karina, the late Margaret Wambui and the late Kenneth Ngugi. Step mother to Francis Kamotho (Miiko), Harrison Mbaru (Metumi Generation), Racheal Njatha (Nakuru), Michael Muraya (Kikas), Agnes Wambugu (Embu), Rosemary Nguku (Waling, Murang’a County Government), the late Jane Wairimu Kiiru, late Samuel Karina (former Mayor Murang’a), the late Hudson Ndome, the late David Muchai (Muchai Timber) and the late Jackson Muiru (Jackris).
Grandmother to Kiraras’, Wangaris’, Wangechis’, among others.
Aunt to Teresia Wanjiru (Naivasha), Michael Ngaruiya Wathika, among others.
Family and friends are meeting daily at Murang’a Courtyard Hotel and at her home in Kongo-ini from 7:00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home – Kabati on Tuesday, 30th May 2023 at 7:00am followed y a funeral service at ACK St. Lukes Kongo-ini from 10:00 am. Peninnah will be laid to rest at her home in Kongo-ini Murang’a Town.
