PETER KAHIGA MACHARIA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Mzee Peter Kahiga Macharia, son of the late Samuel Macharia and Grace Wanjira, which occurred on the 27th of October 2023.

He was the loving husband to Alice Njeri Kahiga. Loving father to Ann Gathoni and the late George Pesha, Grace Nyaguthii; Eddah Gakenia and John Gititu; Mary Wanjiku and Joseph Wangombe; Sam Kahiga and Rev. Lydia Kahiga; Paul Kahiga and Anne Kahiga; Esther Mumbi and Peter Mutama; and Teresia Wairimu and Mark Kiragu.

Doting grandfather to Winnie, Mandy, Mercy, Dennis, Giann, Brian, Paulo, Racheal and many others.A great-grandfather to Bella, Gathoni, Taji, Joylene and many others.

He was the brother to the late Harrison Mira, the late Bernabas Waimiri, the late Mururu, the late Esther Mumbi Hiuhu, Francis Muriuki and John Githuto.

The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home – Nyeri on Friday 3rd November, 2023 at 7:30am. There will be a funeral mass held at Gathehu Catholic Church – Karatina starting at 10.00am followed by the burial ceremony at his Kahigaini Farm in Gathehu Village of Mathira, Karatina.
