PETER RURI KARANI

It is with humble acceptance that we announce the passing of Mwalimu Peter Ruri Karani, which occurred on the morning of 20th August 2020 after a two-year battle with Stomach Cancer.

Loving husband of Mary Muthoni. Son of the late Samuel Karani Ruri and the late Isabell Wambui. Step son of Mary Wanjiru Karani. Father of Adelaide Wamuyu, Joan Agnes Nyawira, Samuel Karani (SK), Emma Wanjiru and Anderson Kariuki Ruri. Father-in-law of Christopher Waigwa Gatebi, Alice Muthoni Karani and Ruth Muiya Kariuki. Step brother of Simon Ruri, Beatrice Muthoni, Joyce Nyawira, Caroline Wanjiku, Michael Kinyua, Henry Munene, Margaret Njeri and George Mbogo. Grandfather of Leone Nyaga, Luther Karimi, Victor Ruri, Wangeci Waigwa, Everlyne Gathoni, Gatebi Waigwa, Faith Wambui, Jonathan Ruri, Stephanie Kariuki, Trevor Mwai and many others. Brother-in-law of Samuel Njanja, John Muriiithi and Eliud Njogu.

The cortege leaves ACK Mt. Kenya Hospital Nursing Home on 27th August at 9:00am for a funeral service and burial at his home in Mutira village, Kirinyaga County.
