PHYLLIS MWETHYA MAWATHE

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our mother, Phyllis Mwethya Mawathe, which occurred on the 16th November, 2023 at Nairobi Women Hospital – Hurlingham.

Wife to the late Cllr David Mawathe Kitavi. Daughter of the the late Muoki Nyilu and the late Mutili Muoki. Mother to Paul Mawathe, Monica Mawathe, Daniel Mawathe, Hon. Musili Mawathe, Francisca Mawathe, Vivian Mawathe, James Mawathe, Kithuka Mawathe, Caroline Mawathe, Davis Mutau Mawathe and Kitavi Mawathe. Mother-in-law to Rose Mutuku, Magdalane Muinduko, Flora Musili, Josephine Mutua, Juliet Kithuka, Prisca Mutau and Jemimah Kitavi.

Sister to the late Wanzi Kioko, the late Muthike Mutisya, the late Mutisya Muoki, the late Mutindi Muoki, the late Mbula King’oo and Maundu Muoki.

Sister-in-law to the late Agnes Masila, the late Kimwele Kitavi, the late Nashon Kitavi, the late Nduume Kitavi, the late Kavata Nzuki, the late Nzengela Ndoloka and the late Kamene Kioko.

Grandmother to Rev. Dr. George Mutuku and Mrs Ruth Mbithi, Jefferson Mutuku, Sharon Mutuku, Alex Mutuku, Denis Mboti, Maxwell Mawathe, Kennedy Muinduko, Adv. Family and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements today the 27th November, 2023, at All Saints Cathedral Church at 5.30pm.

We will have a funds drive tomorrow the 28th November; 2023 at the same place.

The burial will take place on 30th November, 2023 at her home in Yathui Location, Mwala Sub-County in Machakos County.
