PROF LINDA KAIRUTHI ETHANGATTA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the death of Prof Linda Kairuthi Ethangatta formerly of UNICEF, African Nazarene & Kenyatta University on the night of June 14th 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya following a short illness bravely borne.

Prof Linda was the loving wife to Simon Mutabi Ethangatta. Daughter of the late Juma Mbobua and the late Fatuma Juma.

Daughter-in-law of the late Erastus and the late Ruth M’Ethangatta.

Mother of Makena Ethangatta (US), Christine Mukiri (KWAL) & Edward Kimathi (EABL), Timothy Murithi (Aus) and Anthony Kithinji (Aus). In Law of Mr & Mrs Joseph Kimathi. Loving grandmother of Kirimi, Remy and Maxine.

Sister of the late Saidi, the late Evangeline & the late Oyunge, the late Hassan & Judy, the late Hussein, Amina & Kirima, Mary & Paul, Hasuman & Njeri.

Sister-in-Law of the late Kirima, the late Kinyua & Janet, Martha & Nyangi, Mwendwa & Muthuri, Silas & Dr. Gakii, Joyce & Eng Nturibi, Charity, Joshua & Judy, David & Betty.

She was an amazing Aunt, Cousin, Colleague, Prof, Mentor, Coach and Teacher to many.

Friends and Family are meeting on Friday June 21st at 5:00pm at the All Saint’s Cathedral. Final Prayer meeting at home will be on Sunday June 23rd at 3:00pm.

Prof Linda’s Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at Lavington United Church on Tuesday June 25th at 11:00am .

Funeral Service will be at Kinoru Methodist Church, Meru County on Wednesday June 26th at 11:00am and thereafter Prof will be laid to rest at her family home in Kinoru Meru.
