PROFESSOR KAREGA MUTAHI, CBS

Professor Karega Mutahi, CBS went to be with the Lord on Thursday, the 24th of October 2024 after a long illness.

He hailed from Kiria-ini, Kiru Location, Mathioya Sub-county, Murang’a County.

He was the loving husband of Rosebell Muthoni Karega.

Son of the late Mzee Wilkinson Mutahi Iganjo and the late Gladys Wangeci Mutahi.

He was father of Mutahi Karega, Dr. Muchiri Karega & Ninette Gatimu Muchiri, Wangechi Karega & Herve Nganguia, Thiitu & Emmanuel Chikira. Also father of Wangeci & Solomon Maina, Wanjiku Njeru, Wambui Njeru, and Mutahi Njeru & Wanjiru Mutahi. 

Brother of Damaris Wairuri Wambugu, the late Francis Iganjo Mutahi & Ruth Muthoni Iganjo, the late Priscilla Gathoni Mutahi, the late Eliud Kamwaga & Theresa Wambui Kamwaga, Job Njeru Kirira & Lucy Wangui Njeru, the late Eddah Wangui Waiganjo & Waiganjo Wamutu, Rosemary Njoki Mutahi, the late Alfred Matindi Mutahi & Agnes Nyambura Matindi.

Grandfather of Muthoni Mutahi, Martha Wavinya, Louis Karega Nganguia, Karega Muchiri, Muthoni Muchiri, Wangui Mutahi and Felista Narotso.

Daily prayer meetings will be held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi from Monday 28th October from 5.00pm.

A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday 31st October 2024 at 10.00am.

The funeral service will take place at Kiria-ini Mixed Day Secondary School in Murang’a County on Saturday 2nd November 2024.

Cortege leaves Montezuma Mbagathi Way at 7am. Prof will be laid to rest at his home thereafter.
