It is with deep sorrow and humble submission to God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rachel Namikoye Wanyonyi on 29th June, 2023 at the Oasis Hospital – Kakamega while undergoing treatment for Malaria after emerging victorious from treatment for cancer.

Daughter of the late Enock Wanyonyi Kisiang’ani, Omukimweyi Tolometi and the late Bilha Mideva Wanyonyi, from Abamuku Clan of South Maragoli.

Mother of Pauline Waswa and Sylvia Waswa (both Safaricom PLC). Grandmother of Kyle Amani (Thomas Burke Primary School), Christiana Melissah Andika (Apple Gate Christian School, Kakamega) and Adorah Rachel Yireh. Mother-in-law to Caesar Muchongwe and Dauglas Shitote Okumali.

The cortege leaves Kakamega Referral Hospital on Friday 7th July, 2023 funeral service and burial at her home in Tuti, behind Cardinal Otunga Girls School – Kibabii, on 8th July, 2023.
