It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Rahab Njambi Mwathi that occurred on April 9, 2021, after a short illness Rahab was the wife of the late Dr. Samson Nathan Mwathi

Daughter of the late Naftali Ngure and the late Martha Njeri Ngure. Daughter-in-law of the late Nathan Ngugi and the late Agnes Nyaguthil Ngugi. Mother of the late John Ngugi Mwathi and the late Margaret Nyanjugu, the late Peter Ngure Mwathi, David Mbugua Mwathi and Nancy Wakuhi, Agnes Nyaguthli Mwathi-Watatua and Arthur Watatua, and the late James Ng’ethe Mwathi and late Sheila Waruguru.

Sister of the late James Kung’u, the late Peter Nyanjui, the late Daniel Muigai, the late Joseph Mwihandi, the late Minne Mwihaki, Virginia Wangui Mwangi, the late Dr. Bedan Kung’u, Mary Wanjiru, Samuel Ng’ang’a, John Ng’ethe, Mary Mamba, Grace Wambui, the late Joseph Mwihandi, the late Charles Muigai, Nancy Wangui Mwaura, the late James Kinyanjui, and Jane Mumbi.

Sister-in-law of the late Solomon Mbugua, the late Phyllis Wambui Wang’ondu, the late Alice Nyamathwe Githiri, the late Loise Wangul Mbugua, Rahab Wanjiru Kinyanjui, Ruth Njeri Gecaga, the late Grace Wanjiku Ngugi, and the late Evanson Kenyanjui.

Grandmother of Fiona Njambi Mwathi, the late Vanessa Wangui Mwathi, Irene and Collins Miheso, the late Joshua Mwathi, Sylvia Njambi and David Bundi, Gina and Richard Koech, Njambi Ouattara, Patrick and Lucy Ouattara, Patricia Njambi Ng’ethe, Tracy Nyaguthil Ng’ethe and Samson Mwathi Ng’ethe. Great grandmother of Jonathan, Trevor, Kito, Michael, Lisa, and Rina. Beloved Aunty, Grandmother and Nana to many others.

Family and friends have been meeting daily at the family residence in Lavington.

The cortege will leave the morgue on Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 9am. The funeral service will be held at the Church of the Torch, Thogoto at 10.30 am, followed by the Interment at the church cemetery The family will be available for anyone wishing to visit them at the family home on Wedncsday, Thursday and Friday this week, between 2 00 and 6:00 pm.
