REBECCA NYAMBURA FARAAY
It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Rebecca Nyambura Faraay, which occurred in New Delhi, on Thursday 5th January, 2023, after an illness bravely borne.
Prior to her demise, she was a long serving Researcher at the Horticultural Research Institute (KALRO) in Thika.
She was a daughter of the late Yohanna Mwangi Mahu and the late Monica Mendi. Daughter-in-law of the late Melkior Narya and the late Dorothea Nade of Bashnet, Hanan, Tanzania.
She was a loving wife of the late Francis Faraay. She is survived by her daughters Dorothy Faraay and Mendi Faraay.
She was a sister to Mary and Bishop Tama, the late Karienye Yohanna, Salome Kirigo, Naomi and Rev. Kasio, the late Miriam and Rev Karume, Dr. J. C. Mwangi and Carol,Ann Njambi, Thuita Mwangi and Jane. She was a loving and caring aunt and Cucu to many.
Family and friends will meet tomorrow Wednesday from 5.00p.m at the All Saints Cathedral for prayers and fundraising.
A memorial service will be held at St. John’s ACK Church – Happy Valley in Thika on Thursday 12th January 2023, from 10.00am.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home – Nairobi, at 10.00am, on Friday 13th January 2023 for a funeral service and interment at her family Home in Isinya, Kajiado County.
