REV. FR.AUGUSTINE KARIUKI (WAMONICAH)

The Archdiocese of Nairobi, announces the passing on of Rev. Fr.Augustine Kariuki (Wamonicah).

Son to the late Gitau Mugogo and Monica Magiri Gitau. Brother to Esther Gacambi Ng’ang’ari, the late George Ngugi Gitau, the late Cecilia Wanjiru Njiri, Margaret Wamaitha Karanu, the late Elizabeth Wanja Gitau, and Catherine Gakenje Kimani. Step-brother to James Mugogo, Peter Mugogo, Peter Karanja,Veronica Gacambi Njoroge among others.

He was the uncle to Regina Mumbi, Francis Ngure, Josphat Nyaga and many others. He was a grandfather to many.

Fr. Augustine Kariuki has served in many parishes in the Archdiocese. among them: Kagwe, Queen of Apostles’ Ruaraka, St. Peters Clavers, Mutomo, Mutunguru, Buruburu (Blessed Sacrament). St. Patrick’s Thika, Gathanga, Lioki, St Claire Kasarani among others.

Requiem Mass every day at their home in Ting’ang’a, Ngaita village. at 3:00 pm, St. Claire Kasarani on Wednesday, 26th/2023 at 4:00 pm, and at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish Ting’ang’a on Thursday 27/7/2023 at 4:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, 31/7/2023. The cortege leaves the Mater Misericordiae Hospital Mortuary at 8:00 am. The Funeral Mass will be held at St Marys Msongari grounds from 10:30 am. Interment thereafter at Msongari Clergy Cemetery.
