REV. FR. EPHANTUS NJIRU-GACHING’O

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Diocese of Embu announces the passing on of the Rev. Fr. Ephantus Njiru Gaching’o, after a long illness at Consolata Hospital -Kyeni, on 25th March, 2023.

Son to the late Mzee Phares Gaching’o and the late Ruth Kanjagi Gaching’o, brother to the late John Nyaga, Obandia Njeru, Esther Kina, Salvino Muriuki and Sr. Lucy Anne Igandu (Little Sisters of St. Francis).

Brother-in-law to Josephine Kagoji, Mary Rose Gicuku and Margaret Kaari, uncle to Jane, late Peter, Piera, Justa, Lawrence, Jim, Agnes, Joseph, Caesar, Jim Kennedy, Bancy Hilda, Adrian,Tony and grandfather to many.

There will be requiem Mass at Kathanjuri home (Kyeni Parish) on Thursday 30th March, 2023 at 4.00pm, Sunday 2nd April, 2023 at Kyeni Parish at 3.30pm.

The cortege leaves Kyeni Parish to the Chapel of Resurrection at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral on Sunday 2nd April 2023.

On 3rd April 2023, the funeral Mass starts at 10.00am at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral.

2nd Timothy 4:7 — ‘You have fought the good fight; you have finished the race and have kept the faith’.
