REV FR JULIUS MULWA.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that the Capuchin Franciscan Family in Kenya announce the Transitus of their brother Julius Mulwa.

Fr. Julius was born 1975 to the late Boniface Masila Mbondo and Veronicah Munini Makali. He Joined the Capuchin Family in 2002 and made his first profession in 2004. In 2010, he made his perpetual commitment where he vowed to live in Poverty, Chastity and Obedience after the manner of the poor man of Assisi Saint Francis. After his priestly formation, he was ordained a priest in 2013.After his ordination, he was assigned to serve the people of God at St. Boniface Catholic Parish — Masogo in the Catholic Archdiocese of Kisumu.

Between 2015-2016 he served at St. Joseph Catholic Parish as the Father-in-Charge. Then, he proceeded to Rome where he pursued a Licentiate in Spirituality at the Universita Antonianum. After his return from Rome in 2018 he was appointed as the formator of Postulants at our Formation House at Mpeketoni in the Catholic Diocese of Malindi.

In the second quarter of this year 2021, he was assigned at Saint Rev Fr. J Joseph Catholic Parish at Kithyoko in the Catholic Diocese of Machakos as Assistant Father-In-Charge. He was hardly one month in his new station when he fell sick and rushed to Saint Mulwa OF Francis Hospital – Kasarani and got admitted. Fr. Julius was called back to his Maker on Sunday 5th September at the age of 46.

The burial will take place today 9th September, 2021 at St. Austin Msongari Cemetery.
