It is with heavy hearts and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Rev. Mama Tabitha Owano Okello of Munyanza Village, Khwisero Sub-location, which occurred on 27th June, 2021, after a short illness.

Loving wife of the late Mwalimu Francis Howard Okello Anunda. Daughter of the late Mzee Abedinego Nabwayo Khatikhwi and the late Mama Zipporah Amayeye Khatikhwi of EkabwonjeVillage, Bukura Sub-location in Butsotso Location. Loving mother of the late Mwalimu Sarah Nyandiko Mwanika, Winfred Namayi Shitsukane, Josephine Rahab Okello & Zipporah Okeno. Mother-in-law of the late Jamrice Abbisayi Mwanika and Nicholas Shitsukane Shava.

Doting grandmother of Brian Okello Mwanika, Emmanuel Anunda Mwanika, Lowell Jared Mwanika, Chrystal Shava, Myles Shitsukane, Levi Olubuyi Shava, Shilyne Khasiala, Howard Okello and Mercy. Sister of Samson Nechenje, the late Hellen, Nyakowa, the late Dorice Ayiela, Kombo, Eshumu and the late Lubanga.

Loving Auntie of Newton Ombete, the Ambundo’s, Nechenie’s, Oneoto’s, Kombo’s, Eshumu’s, Lubanga’s, Olubunyi’s, Omusieni’s and Matendechere’s, among others. Daughter-in-law of the late Joel and the late Owano Okello Josephine Anunda. Sister-in-law of the late Ekrane, Roselida, Hellen, among others.

The cortege leaves Kakamega General Hospital Mortuary on 3rd July, 2021 for burial on 4th July, 2021 at her home in Munyanza Village, Khwisero Kakamega County.
