REVD. CAPT. PHELIX ODHIAMBO JOHN, THAMANI OCHIENG’ & MOSES OTIENO

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Revd. Capt. Phelix Odhiambo John of ACK Diocese of South Nyanza, St Peters Migori Urban Parish; Thamani Ochieng’ Karisa of Kenya Relief Academy and Moses Otieno (formerly student of Homabay Boys) which occurred on 8th April 2023.

The late Revd. Capt. Phelix Odhiambo John was son to the late John Ochieng’ Ogawo & the late Sofia Adhiambo of Ugenya Kager. He was beloved husband to Revd. Capt. Esther Kache Karisa and father to Thamani Ochieng’ Karisa (TOKO). Brother to the late Moses Otieno, the late Dan Ochieng’, the late Zennah Achieng’. Brother-in-law to the late Lucy, Pamela; cousin to Tabeth,Yusuf, Halima, Majid, Naima & among others.

The late baby Thamani Ochieng’ Karisa Odhiambo (TOKO) was the son of the late Revd. Capt. Phelix Odhiambo and Revd. Capt. Esther Kache. He was cousin to Boyi, June, the late Moses, Sophie Barrack, Ojwang’, Anna, the late David, Eleanor, Elisha, Nelly, Elsa, Peniel, Priscilla and among others.

The late Moses Otieno was the son of the late Dan and the late Lucy Ochieng’. He was brother to June,Tony, Sophie and Barrack. Cousin to Anna, the late Thamani, Ciella, and among others.

Family and friends are meeting everyday at ACK St. Peters Migori Urban Church and Ogande village, Homabay County and Ong’ora village, Migori County. The bodies lay at St. Joseph Omboo Mission Hospital Mortuary.

The cortege will leave the mortuary on 19th April 2023 at 7.30am for interdenominational service at Migori County stadium and thereafter a requiem mass at St. Peter’s Migori Urban Church followed by overnight vigil at their home in Ong’ora village. Burial service will take place on 20th April 2023 at their home in Ong’ora village, Awendo Sub-County, Migori County.
