It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of our beloved Mzee Richard Odoyo Okong’o on 4th April 2024 after a long illness. He is formerly of MP-Shah Hospital.

Son to the late Mzee Albert Okong’o Obel and the late Mama Keziah Achola Okong’o of Nyakach- Gem Rae. Son- in- law to the late Mzee Pascal Angolo and the late

Mama Mary Angolo of Uholo.

A dear Husband to the late Anastasia Odoyo and loving Dad to Rosemary Odoyo, James Opiyo, John Odongo, and Peggy Atieno.

Loving Brother to Joshua, Peter, Dorothy, Barrack, the late- Jane, Esau, David, and Haggai.

Father-in-law to Urbanus Kasanga Makau and doting Grandfather to Denise, Angel, Boniface, Shirley, Nicole, and Erick.

Brother-in-law to Cecilia, Riphinus, Charles, Roseline, the late Martin, Macline, David, the late Michael Opondo, and the late George Ombogo Andang’o, the late

Lorna, Karen, Benta, Caren, the late- Caroline, and Eunice.

Uncle to Miriam, June, Winnie, the late JAO, the late Anne, Nelly, Dorothy, Jane, Leah, the late Esther, Nancy, Washington, Lydia, Tabitha, Beryl, Emmaculate,

Curtis, Tracey, and Natalie among others.

He was a cousin, friend, and mentor to many.

Family and friends will meet to fundraise on Saturday the 27th April at his Nairobi residence from 2:00pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, in Nairobi for Nyakach- Gem Rae on Tuesday 30th April at 8:00am, for overnight vigil and church service.

The Burial service will be on Wednesday 1st May 2024 at his home in Nyakach- Gem Rae, Kisumu County.
