ROBERT DONALD MUNRO (BOB)

Born: September 1st, 1942 – Rested: January 19th 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Donald Munro fondly known as Bob on 19th January 2025 following a long illness.

Devoted husband of Dr. Ingrid Sofia Munro of Jamii Bora Trust.

Loving father of the Late Waithaka Munro, Maina Munro, Kareithi Munro, Maria Munro and Camilla Arlin.

Doting grandfather of David (Didi),Vida, Ingrid, Bob, Sophia, Kieran,Viera.

Son of the late Don Munro and the late Jean White.

Father in-law of Brenda Waweru and Susan Mugo.

Family, friends and colleagues will be meeting for a fundraising drive on Friday, 24th January 2025 at the United Kenya Club from 6pm to 8.30 p.m.

There shall be a procession in honour of Bob on Saturday, 25 th January 2025, from the Lee Funeral Home to Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) Headquarters in Komarock through Juja road between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

A candle-lit vigil shall be held at the MYSA headquarters from 2 p.m. to 7. p.m.to celebrate Bob’s legacy.

Bob’s funeral service shall be held on Monday, 26th January 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Church, Nyerere Road and shall be followed by a private interment on Tuesday, 27th January 2025.
