ROSE WAMBUI KIAMA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing on of Rose Wambui Kiama of Buruburu Phase 2, Nairobi and Kagio, Kirinyaga County, that occurred at The Nairobi Hospital on 25th February, 2023 after a long illness bravely borne. Rose originally worked at Survey of Kenya, then later at Landtech Mappers Ltd.

Loving wife to the late Samuel Kiama Gichuki. Mother to Duncan Gichuki Kiama, Anthony Mwangi Kiama and Joyce Wanjiru Kiama of Avenue Hospital. Mother-in-law to Diana Wangui Wageni. Grandmother to Tevin Kiama Mwangi, Zuri Gichuki,Theo Kiama Gathiru, Nala Wambui Mwangi and Crystal Wanjiru Muriuki.

Daughter to the late Mwalimu Shadrack Gichuki Gathondu and Monica Waititu Gichuki of Thangathi Location, Mukurweini, Nyeri County. Daughter-in-law to the late Duncan Gichuki `Ngacha’ and the late Joyce Wanjiru of Kiawamururu, Mukurweini, Nyeri.

Sister to Mary Muthoni Njau, Patrick Gathondu, Esther Gathigia, the late Lydia Wanjira, Anne Waruguru Mwangi, Samuel Maina, and Peris Wanjiku. Sister-in-law to Margaret Muringi Wanderi, Geoffrey Kaniarujackson Gitu, the late Charles Nyingi and John Gatuthu. A cousin, auntie and in-law to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting at her home in Buruburu Phase 2, Nuriguyo Court, House Number 330 as well as in Kagio, for funeral arrangements.

Her memorial service will be held at CITAM – Valley Road on Thursday, 2nd March, 2023 from 10.00am.

The funeral service and burial will be held at her Kagio home in Kiaga/Kahuti (about 3 Kms from Kagio Market, along the Kagio – Kutus Road) on Friday 3rd March, 2023 from 11.00am.

Rest in eternal peace Mum Rose. It is God who gives, and Him who takes.
