It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of RTD Corps Sergeant Major Zablon Ongeri Openda of Salvation Army – Kisii Corps, Gusii District, which occurred on 07th September, 2023.

Son of the late C.S.M(R) Naftal Openda & HLS(R) the late Agnes Nyakerario Openda. Son-in-law to the late Mokua & Brita Moraa.

Husband to Esther Nyaboke Ongeri. Father to Lydia Mwasi, Evarline Openda, Mary Muthoni, Eric Nyamacharara and Lawrence Onyiego. Father-in-law to Martin Kigo, Feighn Moraa & Valentine Ogeto. Grandfather to Mumbi, Marcus,Tonie, Jacob, Sharnice Tawi and Cyp.

Brother to Mr. Samwel Openda (Zonic), Anne, the late Joseph, the late Ateka, Milkah, Elizabeth, the late George, Grace Nyandika (USA) and Joyce.

Fundraising is being held today, Wednesday 20th September, 2023 at Zonic Hotel and at his Jogoo home in Kisii Town.

The cortege leaves Ram Hospital Funeral Home on Thursday, 21st September, 2023 at 12:00 noon for funeral service at Salvation Army, Kisii Corps. The burial service will be held on Friday 22nd September, 2023 at his Jogoo home in Kisii County.
