It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of (Retired Senior Sergeant Jenard Njagi Mwaniki) of Kenya Prisons Service which occurred on 5th July 2024 after a short illness.

Son of the late Gerishon Mwaniki (Kabobe) and the late Elizabeth Mbandi Kithere. Loving husband of Faith Wawira.

Father of Doreen Kagendo (Kenya Prisons Muranga), Alex Muriuki (Kenya Prisons Wundanyi), Gerishon Musyoki and Travis Mwenda (Muranga Technology Primary School). Son-in-law of the late Gatumu Kangangi and Mrs Ngithi Gatumu. Brother of the late Charles Mugo, the late Jacinta Ciina, Albert Nthiga, Naomi Mwitia, Nancy Wanjogu, Wilson Nguru, Racheal Ndegi and Irene Mwendia.

Father-in-law of Sammy Chiro Munga (Kenya Prisons) and Magdalene Wanja (Kenya Police).

Grandfather of Damian Munga, Lynn Ellah Mapenzi, Daniella Talia and Brian Munene. He was an uncle to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence at Kiametho Village for prayers and Funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home on Tuesday 16th July 2024 at 9:00AM for burial at his home in Kiametho Village, Kirima Sub location in Embu County.
