RUTH WAITHIRA

With acceptance of God’s will we announce the passing on of Ruth Waithira Maina Ndirangu (former teacher, Kangemi High School) which occurred on 14th January 2022 at Kenyatta University Teaching and referral hospital.

Daughter of the late Simon and Grace Ngumburu. Daughter-in-law of Nelson Ndirangu (who she fondly called Guka) and the late Felishina Wanjiru. Wife of Maina Ndirangu formerly of Cooperative Bank (Headquarters and South Sudan Juba) and the current Proprietor MARU Limited. Mother of Emma Wanjiru (FRIDA FUND) and Grace Wothaya of Cooperative Bank Headquarters.

Sister of Margaret Kihagi of Ruruguti, Regina Mwangi (Eldoret), the late Beatrice Njoki, the late Faith Wanja, Lilies King’ori (Kianganda), Paul Mwangi Ngumburu (Murang’a University), Dr Becky Karanja (Kenyatta University) and Daniel Maina Ndirangu Githinji Ngumuru (Kimbo Primary).

She was a sister-in-law to Lilan Gichuki (Kutus), Agnes Karanja (Thika), Dickson Mwangi (Githurai), Purity Ndirangu (Kutus), Grace Njoki (Kutus),Annah Muthoni (Kawangware), Mary Waikwa.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital Funeral Home (Eastern Bypass) on Friday, 21st January 2022 at 6.00 am for a funeral service at their Gatura home, Mukurweini.
