SAMMY JOHN KINYUA (BABA TOM)

We deeply regret to announce the passing on of Sammy John Kinyua (Baba Tom) who hailed from Kandundu Village, Murang’a County.

Son of the late Solomon Kinyua Gateru and the late Zipporah Wahito of Timau, Nanyuki. Son-in-law of the late Jerusha Njoki Nahashon, and the late Kahingo Maina. Beloved husband of Ruth Wangari Kinyua. Doting father to Tom and Margaret Kinyua, Wahito and David Rubia, Caroline Wairimu and Rose Wangui. Brother to Mary Wangui, Agnes Waithira, Bruce Kariuki, Raphael Wanjau, Rose Murage, Charity Njeri, the late Nderitu, the late Gathoni, the late Gitonga, the late Njaramba, the late Mathenge, the late Waruru and the late Kiama. Devout grandfather to Sammy, Stella, Sydney, Baron, Earl and Joanna. He was cousin, uncle to many, a great friend to so many and a great mentor to many more.

The cortege will leave Murang’a Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 15/09/2020 at 9 a.m. for service and burial at his home in Kandundu Village, next to Pioneer University, Murang’a.

God gave us Sammy John Kinyua and He has taken him. Blessed be the name of the LORD.
