SAMUEL GITHAIGA KARIUKI

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing to God’s Glory of Samuel Githaiga Kariuki on 5th August 2024.

He was a retired teacher and catechist.

He hails from Kawaimiri Village, Mbaaini Sub Location Tetu, Nyeri County. Son of the Late Peter Kariuki and the Late Mary Wangui. Husband of Gechida Wangechi.

Father of the Late Peter Kariuki, the Late Mary Elizabeth Wangui, Matron Hellen Wanjiku (Our Lady of Lourdes Mwea Hospital Karira), Margaret Wambui (Sacred Heart Institute, Kiganjo) and Christine. W. Ndirangu (Kiamwangi High School Gatundu South).

Father-in-law of Jane Gatebi, Francis Gakuu and the late James Ndirangu. Brother of the late Mirriam Wangechi, John Mugenyu, the late Andrew Wachira, the late Joseph Nguthiru and the late Njambi.

Step Brother of the late Emily Wangechi, the late Fridah Muthoni, the late George Mugenyu, the late Flora Watetu, the late Esther Njeri, the late Daudi Nderitu and the late Elone, Grandfather of Jecinta, Dama, Hellen, Samuel, Antony, Late Moffat, Robert, Consolata, Diana, Samuel Isaac, Peter and Girland. Great Grandfather of Bryant, Hazel, Mathew, Gabriel and Mariebeth.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Kawaimiri for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The Cortege Leaves St Michael Funeral Home Mathari on 15/8/2024 at 9.00 a.m. Church service will be held at Mbaaini Catholic Church at 10.00 a.m. thereafter he shall be laid to rest in his home in Kawaimiri Village Mbaaini Sub Location Tetu Nyeri County.
