Son of the late Njuguna wa Ngurimu and the late Hannah Njoki Wathariki. Husband to the late Eunice Njeri. Father to Hannah Njoki Chege, Peter Njuguna, John Njoroge Karori, Mary Wambui Kariuki, James Karongo, Francis Ngugi. Brother to John Ngethe Njuguna, Moses Mwaura Njuguna and the late James Karongo, George Kariuki and Perk Wairimu. Father-in-law to John Chege, Geoge Kariuki, Elder Joyce Wambui Njuguna, Regina Mukuru Njoroge, Cecilia Kabura Karongo and Stella Kinanu Ngugi. Son-in-law to the late John Njoroge Mtuathuku and the late Mary Wambui. Grand and great grandfather to many.

Cortege leaves PC.E.A Kikuyu Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 29th July 2020 at 8:00am. Funeral service and burial ceremony will follow at his residence Baraniki Village Thogoto, Kikuyu, Kiambu  County at 9:00am.
