Samuel Mathews Obaga Onyiego

It is with humble acceptance we announce the passing on of Mr Samuel Mathews Obaga Onyiego (formerly of KALRO), which occurred on February 23, 2020 at Mwamotoka Village, Mogusi sub-location, Bogeka Location, Kisii County.

Son of the late Bernard Onyiego and the late Juliana Kemuma. Loving husband of Josephine Obaga. Brother of Christopher Ongoto, Zachary Obuba, James Makori,Agnes Kerubo, Patrick Morema, and John Anyuga. Cousin of Maurice Abuya, Joseph Matieka, Lawrence Mogere, Francis Matieka, Innocent Onyiego, Isaiah Nyameuna, the Obangi, the Nyambati, the Omayo, the Nyambasora, the Maiko, the lates (Samuel Keari  Anyega, Monchari, Nyaboke,Andicha, Kebwaro, Josephine and Aska Moraa).

Uncle of the Ongotos, Obubas, Makoris, Akengas, Moremas, Anyugas, Anyegas, Abuyas, Matiekas, Onyiegos among others. Nephew of Mr & Mrs Peter Nyambasora, Mr & Mrs Lawrence Maiko, the late Ntabo among others. Son-in-law of the late Sylvester Otachi and the late Imelda Nyomenda. Brother-in-law of Concepta Moraa, Samwel Omwenga, Walter Kimang’a, Calista Nyaboke, Joseph Ndemo, Hellen Moige and others. Grandfather of Victor, Belinda, George, Teddy, Shyline, Talia, Ramon, Rita, Faith, Tony, Mathew and Scarlet.

The cortege leaves Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) Funeral Home on March 5, 2020 at 2.00pm for an overnight vigil at his home. Burial will take place at lrianyi village on Friday, March 6, 2020.
