Samuel Opondo Okumu

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the untimely demise of Samuel Opondo Okumu which occurred on Saturday 2nd May, 2020 at The Chiromo Lane Medical Centre. Samuel was until his demise an employee of The National Housing Corporation, Nairobi.

He was son of the late Mzee Elija Okumu and the late Mama Dina Auma of Lugala Village, Nambuku — Busia County. Husband of Lylian Nasimiyu Wamono. Father of Edison Okumu, Robert Omwodo, Sandra Diana Auma. Brother of the late Susan, Joseph, Elizabeth, James, the late Risper, Ruth,Alice and Agnes. Son in law of Robert Omwodo of Nakhasiko and Dorah Nasambu of Bungoma. Cousin to Elphas, Henry, Mary, Ken, Fiona, Godfrey, Joseph, Ronald, Brenda and Kelvin among others. Brother in law of Pamela, Lilly, Sylvian, Omwodo Jr, Patrick, Allayo, George, Beatrice and Judith among others. Uncle of Mike, Meshack, Ferdinand, Edwina, Silas, Peggy, Jemima, Raymond, Dutia, Valentine, Gerry, Brian and Kimng’etich among many others.

The body leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Nairobi on Friday 8th May, 2020. Burial will be held at his home in Sibale Village, Funyula – Busia County on Saturday 9th May, 2020.
