It is with humble acceptance that we announce the passing on of Shaphan Simiyu Chindia which occurred on the 27th October, 2020, following a road accident.

Son of the late Jeremiah Lutatwa Chindia and Morina Chindia. Loving husband of Dorcas Mugasia and the late Jane Awinja. Brother of Dr. Elijah Chindia, Prof. Mark Chindia, Wanyama Chindia, Bakari Chindia, Joram Chindia, Juma Chindia, Elina Mwenje,Neriah Musanyi, Rhoda Tanui, Rael Nanjala, Maria Chindia, Margaret Nalika, and the late Elizabeth Wabwoba. Father of Charles Chindia, Lwaina Chindia, Rogers Lutatwa, Jay Chindia, Edwin Chindia. Brother-in-law of Grace, Teresia, Lucy & Befray Chindia. Father-in-law of Gaudenia, Anisa, Rasoa, Amoti and Carolyne. Uncle of Saul, Mukhwana, Prof. Andanje, Dr. Kisurulia, Jeremiah , David Tanui , Jei, Dr. Tim Chindia, Morina, Wanju, Valder, Jose, Bernard, Peter, Veronica, Situma and others. Cousin of Taracha, Masibos, Sam & Moses Wandabwa and others. Grandfather of Jesephat, Collins, Gloria, Precious, Blessing, among others.

Burial will be on Tuesday November 3rd, 2020 at his residence in Mwamba Sub-location, Lumakanda Location, Kakamega County. The cortege leaves Kimbilio Funeral Home, Kipkaren on 2nd November, 2020, for overnight stay at his home.
