It is with a heavy heart and humble acceptance of God’s will that the K’Ochieng family announce the death of sister in Christ Dorcas Andiego Omoro, which occurred on 12th November, 2020.

Wife of the late Claudius Omoro Ochieng’ of Ugenya Kager. Daughter of the late Mzee Jonathan Ogada and the late Mama Persilla Magara of Karombo, Nyahera. Daughter-in-law of the late James Ochieng and the late Deborah Othune of Ugenya Kager. Dear mother of the late Alice Omoro, the late James Ochieng’ Omoro, Sophie Omoro, the late Margaret Omoro, Betty Achoki, the late Charles Omoro, Christine Omoro, Susan Omoro, the late Johnson Omoro, Donald- Ouko, the late Jonathan Omoro, and Jack Omoro. Stepmother of Leah Omoro, the late Deborah Omoro, Frida Omoro, Rozzie Njoroge and Jacob Wambaya.

Sister of sister in Christ Susan Anyuka, the late William Ouko, the late Walter Rambo, Grace Owino, the late Philgona Ochola, the late Justus Kasuku, Gladys Amoke, Tom Kungu, Joab Bodo, Ahonobadha, Amoke Okello, among others. Auntie of Charles Oduol, the late Rose Wasunna, the late Allan Oduol, Ochieng’ Oduol, Leah Muma, Jane Ndede, the late Bob Ochieng, Florence Ouma, Prisca Naomi, the late Willis Okuthe, the late Joshua Okuthe, Dr. Frank Okuthe, Arnb. Mike Oyugi, the Anyukas, the Oukos, the Rombos, the Oliechs, the Kasukus, amongst others.

Sister-in-law of the late Esau Oduol, the late James Oyugi, the Late Charles Okuthe, and the late Susan Oyengo. Mother-in-law of the fate Terry Okwiri, Eva Ochieng’, Robin Achoki and Jacinta Omoro. Grandmother of the late Claudius Kurtna, Amrarn, Dorcas, Jonathan, Bildad, the late Beryl, Nailani, Keith, Lawrence, Basweti, Olga, Justus, Linda, Priscilla, Mafia, Ryan, Sheila, Vivian, Nicole, amongst others.

The cortege leaves the Aga Khan Mortuary, Kisumu, on Thursday 26th November, for a memorial service at the St. Stephens Cathedral. The burial will be on Friday the 27th of November, at her home in Fort Ternan, Muhoroni, Kisumu County.
