It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Stanley Mwangi Gachugu of Komarok Nairobi, former business owner of Vinco Footwear Nairobi.

Husband of the late Bilha Waruguru. Son of the late Hezron Gachugu and the late Phillis Gachugu. Father of Hezron Gachugu, Edward Mwai, the late Nathan Gitongu, Moses Githinji (USA), the late James Macharia, Peter Karuga, Betty Muthoni, Charles Kinoro, Hudson Nguyo and Leah Wairima.

Grandfather of Henry Kioi Mwai (UK), Stanley Mwai, Glory Mwai, Diana Gachugu-Mwangi, Dr. Janet Gachugu, Bilkit Githinji (USA), Staal Githinji (USA), Brian Mwema, Shawn Gathaiya, Natasha Kingori and Angela Kinoro. Great-grandfather of Laura Kioi (UK), Luke Kioi (UK) and Karimi Mwangi. Father-in-law of Purity Gachugu, Jane Mwai, Nancy Githinji (USA) and Eva Kinoro.

Brother of Nathan Gitongu, James Macharia (Jimmy Light), Charles Kinoro, acintaWaithera and Margaret Nleri (USA). Step-brother of Wilfred Mwangi, Leonard Kariuki, Kennedy Njoroge, Janet Muthiri, Veronica Wahu, Jacinta Waithira, Ann Wambari, John Njogu and Tabitha Njeri.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his home in Komarok – Nairobi.

The cortege leaves Uphome Funeral Home – Uplands, on Tuesday 7th September, 2021, at 8700am. Funeral service and burial will be held at his farm in Ndimu village Eiburgon, Nakuru County, in compliance with MoH COVID 19 Protocols.
