TABITHA MUMBUA OKWATTA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mama Tabitha Mumbua Okwatta which occurred on Monday, 30th November 2020.

Daughter of the late Mulwa Ngalatu and Anna Nzisa of Mazuthini village, Mwala location, Machakos County. She was the wife to the late Caleb Adet Okwatta Mc’Odenyo and mother to the late Monday Anyango; the late Dorothy and Joseph Owaga; Pamela Obath and the Late John; the late Michael Ouma; the late Sheila and Dick Otiende; Susan and Prof. Seth Mc’Ligeyo; Wendy and Henry Ochieng; June and Pastor Ben Nyangar; the late Lillian Awuor; Martin and Betty Okwatta; and Eddie and Lucy Okwatta. Sister to Alice Kiloko Kivindu, Samuel Kitaka, Philip Wambua Mulwa, Kamene Kinyosi, the late Mary Nduku among others.

She was sister in law to the late Mama Rosalie and Japheth Odhiambo; Canon Olivia and Samson Agwa; Mayone and the late Prof. Amos Odenyo; the late Ezra Obuong’ Odenyo; the late Robert and Lydia Okwatta; Prof. Victor Odenyo and the late Vera Odenyo; also the late Carina Odenyo; Olga Onyango and the late Morris Onyango, Booker and Millicent Odenyo; and Dr. Agnes and the late Dan Odenyo.

Grandmother to Linda, Antony, Kennedy, Getrude, Leon, Diana, Marvin,Angela, Martin, Brian, Diana M., Booker, Juliet, Sally, Elyne, Sophie, Joy, Beracah, Olive,Annettc Staicy, Caren & Roman. Great grandmother to Tamara, Olga, Sandra, Vera, Gillian, Kimberly, Taji, Tay Zuria, Allan, Jude, Eugene, Milan, Gianna, Niara, Seth Oumah, Jayden. Aunty to Winnie, Zipora Kaving Ruth Kavenye, Ann Nzisa,the Odhiambo family’; the Agwa family; the Odenyo family and the Onyangc family among others.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday 5th December 2020 in a private burial ceremony.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced later.

All planning meetings are being held virtually and support towards the family can be made via M-Pesa.
