TABITHA NASIPWONDI NABWERA

 9th December, 1934 — 13th May, 2022

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the family of Hon. Burudi Nabwera, announce the death of Mama Tabitha Nasipwondi Nabwera, which occurred on Friday 13th May, 2022 after a long illness bravely borne.

She was wife to Hon. Burudi Nabwera, former Ambassador, Cabinet Minister, KANU Secretary General and MP for Lugari. Beloved daughter to the late Brigadier Peter Tumwa and the late Esther Nasambu of Salvation Army Church. Mother to Joseph, Julie, Jimmy, Lilian and Hellen.

Sister to Leah Kilonzo, the late Zephaniah Lusweti, the late Saul Kisongochi, the late Eva Mukite Kavila, the late Francis Tumwa, the late Grace, late Mary, Phoebe Oliwa,, Margaret Nekesa (France), Carolyne Akol, the late John Chapurukha and Mildred Nangoni Tumwa (UK).

Mother-in-law to Eunice Wamalwa and Serge Soubeiga. Grandmother to Natalie, Melanie, Audrey, Barry, Tegwende and Wendpanga.

A memorial service will be held in Nairobi on Wednesday 25th May, 2022 at Kabete Salvation Army Church (Musa Gitau Road, off Waiyaki Way), at 2.00pm.

The cortege will arrive at Mitoto Salvation Army Church in Kiminini at noon on 27th May 2022 where a requiem mass will be held. Burial will take place at her home in Kiminini, Trans-Nzoia, on Saturday 28th May, 2022.
