We the Ngugi’s family wish to announce the death of Teresia Ndikaru Ngugi. Beloved wife of the late Peter Ngugi after a long brave fight with cancer.

Daughter of the late Barnabas Chokore and Magdalina Murichu. Beloved mother of Minnie Ngugi Muigai (Muchatha), James Ngugi (Ruiru), Barnabas Ngugi (Ndemi-Olkalou), Josephine Murichu (Ndemi-Olkalou), Rev. Fr. Ndikaru via Teresia (Catholic Chaplain The Technical University of Kenya), Salome Wanjiru Gichuhi (Gikambura), Agnes Wangui Ndung’u (Miharati), Philip Ngugi (Kamirithu, Limuru), Sophia Muturi (Ndemi Olkalou), Boniface Nioroge Ngugi (Topeka Kansas City, USA) and Mariana Ndikaru Mwazo (London, UK). Sister of the late Sabina, the late Mariana, the late Francesca, the late Joseph, the late Josephat, the late Barnabas, Peter Mbanya (Kamoi Kitale), Marcellina Wajiiku (Kakibola, Kitale). Mother-in-law of Geoffrey Muigai, Peter Gichuhi, late James Ndung’u, Steven Mutun, Andrew Mwanzo (London, UK).Teresia will be remembered by her Grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Only family are meeting for prayers daily at her home in Murera next to Bethlehem Academy.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 22nd May 2020 for a Requiem Mass at St Christopher Catholic Church, Kimbo at 12:00 Noon then interment at her home in Murera, Ruiru next to Bethlehem Academy.
