TERESIA NGINA MUGWERU

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing on of Teresia Ngina Mugweru on the 17th of January 2025, formerly a teacher at Kiamwangi Secondary in Mathira East sub-county, Nyeri County after a long battle with illness. 

She was the daughter of the late Rewel Mwaura Karungu and Maria Wairimu Mwaura.

She was the sister of Josephine Njuca, Susan Wanjiru, Nancy Murugi, Jane Wambui, Simon Peter Gacheru, Lucy Wanjiku, Benson Ngechu, Jesse Meru, John Wainaina, Francis Macira and the late Saraphina Njeri and Anthony Karungu. 

She was the loving wife of Robert Mugweru, Principal A.C.K Kiuu Secondary School in

Mukurwe-ini Sub- County, Nyeri County. She was the dear mother of Ann Wanjira Muriithi, Eva Wairimu Mugweru of Centum real estate and Elena Muthoni Mugweru a student at Catholic University of Eastern Africa. 

She was the grandmother of Enzi Gititu Muriithi. She was mother in-law of Brian Muriithi Gititu.

She was a daughter in law of Joyce Wanjira Mugweru. She was the sister-in-law of John Muriuki and Gladys Muthoni. She was an aunt and cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting at her Karatina residence off Kerugoya junction near Oldoiyo hotel daily from 4.00p.m.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary on Monday 27th January 2025 at 9.00a.m followed by a church funeral service at PCEA Gatura church and thereafter burial at her home in Karatina.
