THE REVEREND JAPHET MIANO MUTUGI

1920 – 2021

It is with gratitude to God that we celebrate the life of The Reverend Japhet Miano Mutugi, who rested peacefully in Christ on Sunday 13th June 2021 at a ripe old age.

He was a son of the late Mutugi Githumbi and Micere, and the beloved husband of late Annah Wambui. He was father to the late Dr. Jamleck and Prof. Marion Mutugi; Eva and the late Joseph Gaitha; Harrison and Nancy Kariuki; James and Irene Githinji; the late Eliaza and Victoria Mwaniki; Isaiah and the late Winnie Wachira, Joshua and Esther Gathiti, Esther Wairimu; Steven and Monica Mutegi and the late Grace Wanjiru.

The professional accountant and committed clergyman was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, uncle, grand-father, great-grand father and Patriarch of mbari ya Gichata.

A Memorial Service will be held at ACK All Saints Cathedral Nairobi, on Sunday 20th June 2021 starting at 2.00 p.m. The burial service will be held on Tuesday June 22nd 2021, at his home in Getuya, Ndia, Kirinyaga County.
