VERONICA WANGARI MASAI

1931-2021

The family of the late David Morris Masai wishes to announce the passing of the family matriarch, our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Veronica Wangari Masai.

She was daughter of the Late Philip Nduhiu and the Late Emily Nyawira. She was sister to the late Ignatius Ndei, the late Alex Gatundu, the late Rose Nyaguthie, the late Paul Wairegi, the late Wallace Githaiga, Magdalene Wanjiru Gitonga and Angelica Bindi. Wife of the Late David Morris Masai and mother to Cllr. John Masai, the late Mai. Charles Masai, Idah Muthama, Mutune Masai, Martin Masai, Windsor Bahati and Valentine Kioko. Mother in law to Agnes Masai, Farida Masai, Grace Musili, Nelson Nyamu, Penelope Mutune, Ascar-Bomett Ndei, Bahati Mutua and Dr. Henry Kioko.

Grandmother to Mbeti and the late Enock Musembi, Laureen Masai, David, Masai, Wangari, Musyoka, Maina Gacheche, Nyamu and Karimi, Eric and Mumbe Ndirangu, Museveni and Yvonne, Sault, Malasi, Tiffany, Steffany, Roy and Linda, David, Phillip and Caroline and Winnie. Great grandmother to Kylee, Ilaa, Yakira, Zion, Kwame, Hozana and Joseph.

She was daughter in law to the late Samuel and Loice Masai and sister in law to the late Ema and David Musya, late Rael, late Sila, late Obed and Jane Obed Masai among others. She was auntie to Nyawira, Col (Rtd) Ndei, Lucy, Emily, Patrick, Nzisa, Muoti and many others.

Funeral service begins at 9am at the family home at Mukalala Village, Misakwani, Mumbuni Location on Wednesday April 14,2021 followed by burial shortly thereafter. Due to the prevailing Covid 19 pandemic, Ministry of Health protocols will be observed.
