VIOLET JULIET ODERO

It is with deep sorrow, but with immense gratitude for a life beautifully lived, that we announce the passing of Violet Juliet Odero.
Born on 3rd November 1932 in Princess Town, Trinidad and Tobago.
Violet left us peacefully at 1:18 p.m on the 16th of October 2024 at Aga Khan Hospital ICU in Kisumu, following a brief illness.
Violet lived a life of purpose, dignity, and grace.
She touched the hearts of many with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering strength.
Her spirit was a beacon of love, illuminating every room she entered.
Violet was the wife of the late Boniface Odero Nyimbi.
She leaves behind a family who cherished her deeply: her sons Nyimbi Odero and Agola Odero (Trinidad and Tobago); her daughters Nancy Akinyi Odero and Salome Atieno Odero; her daughter-in-law Stephanie Echakara and her beloved sister-in-law, Dorcas Ajwang of Uyoma.
Violet was also the treasured grandmother of George Odero (Switzerland), Dedan Jorel Kisira Odero (Strathmore University), Abena Aroni Kisira Odero, Kwe Tadisua Adjoa Odero, Nelson Odero and Nyangore Odero Nyimbi Kisira Odero.
A service in her honor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on 1st November 2024 at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Milimani, Kisumu.

Violet will be laid to rest on Saturday, 2nd November 2024 at her final resting place in Kalande, Reru, Seme, Kisumu County.
