VIRGINIA PAULINE WANGARI NJOROGE

BORN: 15TH MAY, 1948 – DIED: 18TH MAY, 2023

We are saddened to announce the death of Mrs Virgins Wangari Njoroge which occurred on 18th May 2023 at the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital, Nairobi after a long illness bravely borne.

She was the loving wife of Lt Gen (Rtd) Humphrey Wainaina Njoroge.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel Muriu Kagombe and the late Dorcas Nyambura Muriu of Eldoret, and the daughter-in-law of the late Harrison Wainaina Njoroge and the late Tabitha Wairimu Wainaina of Wanjohi.

Mrs Njoroge was the mother of Robert and Estella Njoroge (USA), Dr Sam Muriu (Malawi), Capt. Timothy and Phyllis Njoroge (KQ), and Andrew Kagombe Njoroge (NRB).

She was the Grandmother of Jaden, Wangari, Dylan, and Marcus.

Sister of Serah Wambui Muriu, the late Stephen Njogu, Margaret Magana Wahome, the late Sammy Kihuga, Esther Nyakarura Mang’ana, and James Kamande Muriu.

Sister-in-law of Gabriel Waithaka Wainaina, the late Margaret Gathoni Wainaina, W02 (rtd) Francis Wainaina, W02 (rtd) Frederick Kimotho, and Joseph Muhia.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, 26th May at St. Francis ACK, Karen from 11AM to 1PM.

The funeral service and burial will be at their home in Rongai, Lengenet, on Wednesday, 31st May 2023 from 10AM to 1 PM.

Prayers and meetings will be held from Tuesday 23 rd to Thursday 25th May at their home in Karen and from Tuesday 23rd to Monday 29th May at ACK St. Christopher’s Church Hall, Nakuru and their home in Rongai, Lengenet.
