It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce promotion to glory of our beloved Dad Commissioner of Police, Wachira Mathenge who at the time of his death was a staffing Officer Logistics at the National Police Service, Eastern region Embu.

Husband of Jayne Wanja Wachira. Son of Irene Nyakarima Mathenge. Son-in-law of late Daniel Kimaru and late Tabitha Njeri of Othaya. Father of Kimaru Wachira (Businessman Nairobi) Claire Nyakarima (Germany) and Neil Gitonga (AFTTI). Brother of late Boniface Mathenge, Purity Wanjiru of DCI Narok South, Naftaly Muturi (KPA Nairobi), Benard Muigua (KPA Mombasa). Brother-in-law of Vincent, Mary, Grace, Serah, Evanson, Lawrence, Jane, Nancy (CBK), Lucy (Serena), Mary (Mwai advocate), Grace (GDC), and late Caroline, Gathiru, and Fraciah.

Cousin of Oscar, Gerald, Jane, Kiama, Nyawlra, Wachira, Mathenge, Wambui, Nduhui, Nderitu, Muthoni among others. Uncle of Maureen, Chris, George, Victor, Becky, Ted, Brigette, Angel, Brenda, Louis, Njeri (Germany), Kimaru (S/Sudan), Shiko (Seattle), Muringi, DK, Wairimu, Tabitha, Gathiru, Gethi among others. Doting grandfather to Trevor, Lindsey, Shamsa, Harvey, Chloe, Amira, Talia.

Burial will be held on 12th June 2020 in Nyerl county at his Kiganjo Chaka Farm.
