WALTER OBALA OREGO

1938 – 2021

It is with regret and humble acceptance of God’s will that the Obala family announces the death of Walter Obala Orego, which occurred after a short illness Born on 1st January 1938 .

Walter was the first born to the late Mathayo Orego and Domtilla Orego of Kuoyo Village, Wathorego sublocation, Kajulu, Kisumu county. He was a loving husband to Dorothy Obala, the late Silpa Obala, and S. Obala. He was a brother to Elida Onyona, Risper Opiyo, Peres Osimbo, and the late William Odeny. A step brother to the late Cornel, George, Noah, the late John Juma, the late Richard Midumbi, the late Wilson Orego, Oueno Onege, Owiti Onege, the late Charles Onyango among others.

Fondly known as Wuod Orego, Walter sired the late Beatrice Obala, the late Daniel Obala, Josephine Obala, Caleb Obala, the late Lucy Obala, Herine Obala, Jared Obala, Fredrick Obala, Coleta Obala, Judith Obala, Linet Obala, Dorothy Obala, Cheryl Obala and Lavin Obala. He was a grand father to Lilian Aueno and Molly Awino Jombo, Cosby Pritti Chamwoma, Sharon Shaila Chamwoma, Daisy Anyango, Diana Dorothy Ouma, Tom Obala, Maxwel, Daniel, Alphonse, Alex, Braxton, Melissa, Felix, Dorothy, Kenneth, Silpa, Josephine, George, Joy, Rosie, Walter Brian, Denzel, Dorothy, Wesley, Carol, Patric, Walter and a great grand parent to Melanie and Daryl.

Baba was an uncle to Plason, Victor, Jael, the late Eunice, Ascar, Dickson, Everlyn, Irene, Joyce, Doreen, Kennedy, Ben, Horace Meshack Ongili, Thomas Juma, Sylvia Abira, Mildred Oplyo (Middy), Jacob, Peter, Adhlambo, Atieno, Ken, Domtila, Omondi (Ndimo), Omondi Osimbo, Joyce, Daniel, Jacob, Edward, Pamela Henna, Ouma Abira, Mical, Rozy, Agnes, Collins, Jacob, Gibon, Claudia, Edward Ayieko, Julias Miyawa, Joyce, Daniel, Andrew, Beatrice Anunda, Otieno Ondiek. Odhiambo Okoth, Hongo, Mika, Omondi Osimbo, Tom, Oueno, Henry, Kennedy Onyona, Moris Onyona, Odhiambo Onyona, Adhlambo Osimbo, Elsa, Ruth, Philip, Doree, Eunice, among others.

He was a Brother in law to Jane Odeny, Alice Odeny, Margaret Juma, Jessica. Dorothy Ayieko, Judith Miyawa, Monica Anunda, Margret Adero, Abisai, the late William Osimbo, Dan Opiyo, the late Horace Ongili, Joyce Midumbi, Habbakuk Owino Owiti, Jane Owino, Alice, Zadok Okingo, Richard Owiti among others. Further, a Father in law to the late Consolata Owiti (Conso), Joseph Jombo, Fanuel Chamwoma, Florence Ouma, Lemstone Karisa, Mary Alvira, Fredrick Odhiambo, Fredrick Onyalo, Barack Aoko and Matthew Otieno.

Tomorrow, 2nd July 2021, the family will convene at his home in Kuoyo village, Kajulu, Kisumu County to lay him to rest. All who will be in attendance are expected to observe MOH Covid -19 regulations.
