WELLINGTONE NAMENGE OGOYA

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Mr. Wellingtone Namenge Ogoya, which occurred on 13th February, 2023 while on official duty in Dubai. Namenge served his country with exceptional commitment, passion, courage, and integrity as a Senior Research Officer with the Parliamentary Service Commission (The Senate).
Son to the late James Namenge and Rosemary Dindi Namenge of Ebulwani Village, Butula Sub-County, Busia County.
Beloved husband to Penina Everlyne Apondi of CWS-RSC Africa. Dedicated and loving father to Morgan Dibondo Ogoya of JKUAT, Jocine Nabwire Ogoya of UON, Daisy Esther Anyango of Daystar University and Wesley Shawn Namenge of Mang’u High School.
Brother to the late Edith Namenge, Humphreys Kwena, the late Jemima Namenge, and Celestine Namenge.
Son-in-law to the late James Ofisi Nyokonyo and Mama Doris Obinda Ofisi of Maira village.
Grandson to the late Alfred Dibondo Kwena and the late Christine Dibondo; the late Stower Ndubi and the late Fanis Nabwire Ndubi.
Beloved foster father and uncle to Allan Namenge, Tobias Ochola, Vivian Aori, Sebastian and Gloria, among others.
Nephew to Rebecca Omondi, Paul Chesa (Rtd Teacher), the late Andrew Walobwa, Agneta Oduya, Pauline Musundi, Prof. George Stower, Eng. David Stower, Rodgers Stower, Hon. Chris Okemo, among others.
Brother-in-law to Aggrey Ofisi, and Risper Ofisi, among others.
First cousin to Monica Maloba Wambani, Dr. Doreen Maloba Othero, Milton Maloba, Pamphil Mayabi, Edwin Dindi, and Maryln Aruka, among others.
The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home for a requiem mass at St. Faith ACK Church Ongata Rongai on Thursday, 23rd February, 2023, at 10.00am, followed by an overnight vigil at his Rongai home. Thereafter, the cortege shall depart for his rural home in Ebulwani village on Friday, 24th February, 2023. The late Wellingtone will be laid to rest on Saturday, 25th February, 2023, at his home in Ebulwani village, Butula Sub-County, Busia County.
