It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved father Wesley Kandie Cherop of Pemwai, Baringo County.

Son of the late Chelugo arap Cherop and the late Peris Talaa Cherop.

Beloved husband to Loise Kandie and a loving father to Dr. Charles Kandie (Ministry of Health, Nairobi), Elizabeth Tuitoek (Postal Corporation, Nakuru), Andrew Kandie (Kenya Prisons, Kabarnet), the late Philip Kandie, Henry Kandie (Ministry of Trade, Nairobi), Joseph Kandie (Petroleum and Industrial Services Limited, Nairobi,) Carolyne Kandie (Uasin Gishu District Hospital), Ann Kandie (Kabarnet) and Catherine Kandie (East African Community, Nairobi).

Father-in-law to Belinda Kandie, Raymond Tuitoek, Jane Kandie, Hannah Mwashigadi, Claire Kandie, the late Martin Biwott and Edwin Kibet.

Brother to the late James Komen, the late Mudlas Kimuge,William Cheburet, the late Stanley Kiprop, Loise Chepkonga and Mary Koskei.

Brother-in-law to Mary Komen, the late Clara Kimuge, Eunice Cheburet, the late Phyllis Kiprop, Peter Chepkonga and William Koskei.

He was a beloved uncle to Alice,Abraham, Stella, Nelly, Robert, Mathew, Maureen and Caroline among others.

Mzee, was a doting grandfather to Kimberly, Nicole, Oliver,Victor, Dr. Mengich, Caro, Collins Kiplagat,Tony,Alvin, Sheila, Vivian, Jebor, Elvis, Derrick, Joy, Blessing, Arnold, Roy, Ryan and Collins Kibet He was a great grandfather to Michelle, Sashajoy and Shirleen.

Family and friends are meeting daily at their home in Pemwai, Baringo County and All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi for funeral arrangements starting from 5:30pm.

There will be a fundraising on Thursday, November 3, 2022 starting from 5:30pm to assist in offsetting the funeral expenses.

The cortege leaves Kabarnet County Referral Hospital Mortuary on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:00am for a funeral service and burial at his Lelian residence, Pemwai, Baringo County.
