Death and Funeral Announcement of William Otieno Obare ,

It is with profound grief that we announce the sudden death of William Otieno Obare, former Assistant Director Kenya Meteorological Services which occurred on the morning of Sunday, 10th May 2020 after 33 years battle with diabetes.

Son of the late Mzee Martin Obare Odunga and mama Teresa Akumu. Step son of Domtila and the late mama Felista. Son-in-law of the late Mzee Dismus Okumu Moya and the late mama Agnes Maumbi from Nyamila. Loving husband of Emma Juma Obare. Father of Erick Obare (NCBA), Triza Onyango of Mulaha Dispensary, Maureen Obare (formerly of Jesuit Hakimani Centre), Sheila Obare (Moi University), Elvis Obare (University of Nairobi) and Steve Obare (University of Nairobi). Grandfather of Kingsley and Emma Janelle. Brother of Pamela Sawene, the late Stephen Obare, Chrispin Oduor, Albert Ochieng, Jackline Achieng, Julius Obare, Evelyne Aloo, Antone Oduor, George Odunga among others. Brother-in-law of James, Mike, Crispin, Alfred, Imelda Agutu, Anastasia Oloo, the late Consolata Awino, among others.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home (Nairobi) on Friday, 15th May 2020 at 9:00 am for his rural home in Kamunyenye village of Sifuyo, West Ugenya and burial will take place on Saturday 16th May 2020,
