WYCLIFFE SITIMA KENGERE

Sironga Girls National School fraternity regrets to announce the untimely death of Wycliffe Sitima Kengere on August 9 th, 2024, at Christa Marianne Hospital following a sudden illness.At the time of his  death,Wycliffe was a dedicated teacher at Sironga Girls National School in Nyamira County.

Beloved son of Hon. Meshack Kengere Ondari, former Vice Chairman of Gusii Mwalimu Sacco, and Mary Nyanchoka Kengere, a former teacher at Mogorora Primary School. Devoted husband of Ruth Kerubo Nyakundi.Loving father of Sasha Maria and Stania Bosibori.

Cherished brother of Sabina Ondari (Kegati Pri. Sch), Lydiah Kengere (Tengecha Pri.Sch), Godfrey Ondari (Gusii Mwalimu Sacco), Milkah Bosibori (EPZA Kitengela), and Innocent Ongeri.

Dear son-in-law of Esther and David Kibagendi (Tombe, Nyamira County). Adored grandson of Mama Jerusha & Mzee Samuel Ondari (Amariba) and the late Mama Milka &the late Mzee Nyangoto Ogendi (from Gesere). Treasured nephew of Mr. & Mrs. Naftali Ondari, Mr. & Mrs. James Rosana, Dr. & Mrs. John Nyakawa, Mr. & Mrs. Tom Michira, Mr. & Mrs. Lazarus Ondari, the Nyangotos (Gesere), the Mulures (Kakamega) among others.

In-law of Evans Atanga Ragira (Toror tea factory Kericho), the late Elkanah Ogonyo (Nyamakoroto) Evans Orero Ayako (USA), Ben Ombuche (Naivasha), Duke Mainga Echate (Chairman, board of trustees of Commodities Fund), Happiness Moraa, Rhoda Kwamboka, Naomi Gesare among others. He was an alumnus of the University of Eldoret, St. John’s Nyamagwa High School, and Nyaboterere Academy.

He formerly taught at St. Kizito Nyansiongo Boys. Burial arrangements are ongoing at the Amariba, Kiogoro home and Sironga Girls School. Friends and relatives will gather for the main fundraising event at Gusii Mwalimu Hotel today Tuesday, August 20 th, 2024, at 2:00 PM.

The cortege leaves Christa Marianne mortuary on Thursday 22nd August 2024 and will be laid to rest at his home in Nyaboterere Village, Kiogoro location, Nyaribari Chache Constituency, Kisii County, on Friday, August 23 rd, 2024 beginning 10.00am.
