It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Senior Retired Head Teacher Zablon Japheth Mayaka Ondieki of Gesore Village, Nyamira County which occurred on 15th February 2020 at Kenyatta National Hospital after a long illness.

Son of the late Mzee Hudson Osumo Obwoni & the late Mama Hebisiba Moraa (Nyakara). Loving husband of Rebeccah Kerubo Ondieki of Nyamira County Referral Hospital. Father of Deborah, Dorothy, Dennis, Daniel & Brian. Grandfather of Jayson & Bradley. Brother of Obwoni, Samwel, Ogake, Callen, Kemunto, James, David, Jane, Dorcah, George & the late Nancy. Son-in-law of the late Mzee Harrison Orina, Mary Mosero Orina & Billiah Mokeira.

Father-in-law of Steve Nyarwati. Korera of Charles Nyaberi & Pricillah Nyarwati. Brother-in-law of Joyce, Callen, Sophiah, Zipporah, Norah, Charles, Robert,Teresa, Solpher, Ogamba, Peninah, Ambassador George, Elizepher, Florence, Naom, Pamellah, Richard,-Nyambare, Rose, Isabellah, Erick, Nyandieka, Hellen, Winnie, Yuniah, Grace Charles, Nyanchoka, Grace Ogamba, Mary, Samwel, Teresa, Monicah, Sharon, Mageto among others. Uncle of many nieces & nephews of the Osumo and Mwontonu families. Grandson of James Omwansa. Nephew of Nyandieka, the late Ndege, the late Nyanchama, the late Obonyo, Obwoni, the late Onyancha, the late Ongaga, the late Mokogi, the late Kemuma, the late Okero, the late Jeliah, the late Nyamokune. Nyambuche among others. He was a friend & a mentor to many.

Friends & relatives are meeting daily for prayers & funeral arrangements at his home (Nyamira) & at City Magistrate Court I, City Hall, Nairobi.

The main fundraising is scheduled to take place on Tuesday the 25th of February 2020 in Nyamira at the Kenya Industrial Estates (opposite the Main Nyamira Matatu Stage) and in Nairobi at the City Magistrate Court I in City Hall. The cortege leaves Kenyatta National Hospital on 27th February 2020 at 6.30am for Nyamira. There will be a funeral service upon arrival. The burial will take place on the 28th of February 2020 at his home in Nyamira Town.
