ZABLON MWANGI MUTHAIGA

With deep sorrow we announce that our beloved Zablon Mwangi Muthaiga passed-on on the evening of 19th January, 2022, after a short battle with illness.

He was the son of the late Joseph Muthaiga and Esther Wairimu Muthaiga. He was the husband of Nancy Njoki Mwangi and the father to Maurice and Esther Wairimu Wilson, Dr. Joseph and Mary Muthaiga, Dann and Josephine Wangechi Mwangi, James and Peninah Waceke Kamau, Barbra Muthoni Mwangi, Wayne Muthaiga Mwangi and Wesley John Mwangi.

He was the brother to the late Peninah Kimani, Jane Nduati, Rosemary Kaniaru and Sarah Nduati. He was the son-in-law of the late Morris Muchiri and the late Josephine Waithera. He loved his grandchildren Ethan, Kaylaa, Gabriella, David, Haylee, Kaylee, Bella, Amara and Shiku; they called him Papa. He was a grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, mentor and so much more to many, all of whom are appreciated.

Meetings are being held at PCEA St. Andrew’s church in Nairobi, on Monday, 24th January 2022 to Wednesday, 26th January 2022 at 5:30pm. There are also meetings taking place at his Mathioya home.

There will be a memorial service in Nairobi this week; date, time and venue to be communicated.

The funeral and burial is set for Saturday, 29th January 2022, at ACK St. Stephen’s Church, Njumbi, Murang’a county. Programme: • 7:00am – Arrival at Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home, Kabati • 8:00am – Cortege leaves Kabati for church service • 10:00am – Arrival in Njumbi, service starts • 1:00pm – Burial at his home.
