ZADOCK AKWIRI MULAHA

It is with a heavy heart and humble acceptance of God’s will that the Akwiri family announces the death of Zadock Akwiri Mulaha which occurred on 14th August 2024 at Gurunanak Hospital in Nairobi after a short illness.

He was the firstborn born child of the late Japheth Mulaha and the late Rebecca Masoni, and step son of Mama Doris Omondi and the late Mama Mary Shibalakha of Bumagunda village in Butula Sub County.

Beloved husband of Selline Akwiri.

He was a dear father of Lt Col Adelaide Akwiri, Ingrid Ngichu (National Bank of Kenya), Cheryl Aysha, Rachel Nasimiyu (Silicone Molds Kenya), and Emogene Lukoye (EON Collective Kenya).

Father-in-law of Lt Col Carey Mugamangi, Robert Ngichu, Amos Were, and Patrick Kimanzi.

Son-in-law of the late Joseph Nabukwesi and the late Rachel Nasimiyu of Tete village, Webuye East Sub County.

He was the brother of Godfrey Mulamba, the late Rosa Obari, the late Perminus Ojango, Elijah Obari, the late Wintress Awino, Shadrack Oucho, Leonard Sichemo, Rosa Obari Musubi, Bernard Mulamba, Collins Muganda, Violet Suchi, Harbert Muganda, Rosa Obari Oketch, the late Patrick Mulamba.

He was cousin of the late Elkanah Mulamba, the late professor Nimrod Bwibo, the late Erasto Wanyaka, Joash Oduori, Milton Okello, Benson Okello, Meshack Namudeche amongst others.

Uncle of the late Richard Mulamba, Everlyne Ojango, Clinton Obati, Bertha Nekesa, Haron Mulamba (USA), Wilberforce Mulamba (UK), Rose Bwibo, Willis Bwibo, Edith Bwibo (USA), the Luswetis (Charles, Saul, Joan, Silas and Sylvia.

Gilbert Wanambisi, Eric Munyefu, Dennis Mulongo among others.

Brother-in-law of Elizabeth Lusweti, Florence Wanambisi, Lt Col (RTD) Gregory Nabukwesi, Margaret Wolayo, Ambassador Simon Nabukwesi, David Wafula, Catherine Nabukwesi, Sgt Daniel Nabukwesi, Constantine Nabukwesi, Emmanuel Nabukwesi, Ruth Nanjala, Dorcas Mulamba, Siphrose Obari and Benta Sichemo.

Grandfather of Caden, Elise, Neil, Hazel, Leandra, Ivan, Katriane, Aime, Micah, Callum.

The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 28th August, at St. Marys Magdalene Catholic church located in Old Racecourse estate starting at 3 p.m.

The cortege leaves Umash funeral home, Nairobi on Thursday 29th August 2023 for his homestead in Bumagunda village, Bukhalalire, Butula sub county, followed by his interment on Saturday 31st August 2024.
